UX Strategy, Leadership, Strategy & Design

End to End UX Design

At JP Morgan Chase and Wells Fargo, I led the UX design for numerous projects, creating comprehensive user experiences for financial products and services. Additionally, at Wolters Kluwer and ADP, I was responsible for the entire design process across a diverse portfolio of products, touching multiple points of the design pipeline from initial concept to final implementation, ensuring that the user journey was seamless and engaging

I’ve designed projects across domains.

  • From Mobile to Desktop

  • From Search and Content Management to Data Entry & Analytics

  • From Health Care to Finance

  • From Creating Apps from Scratch to Extending and Maintaining Mature Design Systems

Stakeholder Management

Working with partners in product, technology, and business has been a cornerstone of my career. At Wolters Kluwer and JP Morgan Chase, I managed complex UX research programs, aligning with various stakeholders to centralize user insights and drive product strategy. My role required balancing the needs of different departments to deliver cohesive and effective design solutions. I always ensured the use of shared tools and systems to shape design solutions, building an understanding of related tools and software impacting the end-product (e.g., CMS, sales tools).

Effective communication has been a key aspect of my roles. At JP Morgan Chase, Wells Fargo, Wolters Kluwer, and ADP, I consistently communicated current project plans, goals, and expected outcomes to all stakeholders. This ensured alignment and kept everyone informed, facilitating smooth project execution and successful outcomes. In critiques or presentations, I articulated the user, business, and technical reasoning behind detailed design decisions. This ability to clearly explain and justify design choices has been crucial in gaining stakeholder buy-in and ensuring that designs align with business goals and user needs. Additionally, I have a deep understanding of the motivations and drivers of partners and stakeholders, which has allowed me to align our goals effectively. This approach has also allowed me to identify risks and impediments so they can be mitigated.

Collaboration is at the heart of my work ethic. Whether at Wolters Kluwer, where I managed design strategies across multiple business lines, or at ADP, where I developed patented designs for Human Capital Management solutions, I have always worked closely with product, technology, and business teams to ensure that our designs meet user needs and business goals.

Prototyping &Wireframing

I specialize in prototyping and wireframing, crucial steps in bringing design concepts to life. Using tools like Sketch and Figma, I create detailed wireframes that lay the groundwork for user-friendly interfaces, and interactive prototypes that allow for comprehensive testing and feedback. My process ensures that every prototype is polished and ready for seamless handoff to developers, aligning closely with the final product vision.

I am also experienced in working within front-end and back-end technology constraints and capabilities. This technical awareness allows me to design solutions that are not only user-friendly but also feasible within the given technological framework.

I maintain a working knowledge of UI standards for common platforms, including iOS, Android, and Web. This knowledge ensures that my designs are not only visually appealing but also functionally robust and consistent across various devices and platforms.

Design Leadership

In my leadership roles, I directed cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative environment where new ideas and innovative solutions were encouraged. At ADP, I led brainstorming workshops, working closely with stakeholders to craft shared product visions. My role at Wolters Kluwer involved guiding product teams through ideation and strategy sessions, resulting in actionable recommendations and user-centric designs. At Wells Fargo, I focused on design delivery and the expansion of the design system. At JP Morgan Chase, I led research and alignment strategies to connect business objectives with user needs.

Mentoring has been a significant part of my career. At JP Morgan Chase and Wells Fargo, I focused on elevating the skills of junior designers, providing real-time feedback, and helping them make connections between different design disciplines. I provided mentorship in areas of expertise and ramped up new team members, with a strong focus on craft and process.

Throughout my career, I have actively participated in both informal and formal insight-gathering activities, including primary and secondary research. By leveraging these user insights, I created design solutions that are not only innovative but also highly attuned to the needs and behaviors of the users. For instance, at JP Morgan Chase and Wolters Kluwer, I conducted extensive user research and applied the findings to develop user-centric prototypes and solutions

I have consistently researched competitive products, industry trends, and relevant topics to stay ahead in the field. This proactive approach has enabled me to integrate the latest trends and best practices into my designs, ensuring they are not only current but also highly competitive in the market.
